FESCO to achieve a cargo turnover of 10 million tons per year

The company also plans to build a dry dock at VMTP for ship repairs.

The FESCO transport group plans to achieve a cargo turnover of 10 million tons per year as part of the project of Eastern Logistics Hub based in the Vladivostok Sea Commercial Port (VMTP, part of FESCO). The president and chairman of the board of the group, Arkady Korostelev, announced these plans during the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). According to Korostelev, it is planned to build a berth in the port with depths of up to 16 m and an icebreaker fleet base. These projects will be implemented in cooperation with the state corporation Rosatom. 

The company also plans to place a dry dock in the port to carry out repairs of both its own and, possibly, external fleet.

FESCO transport group is one of Russia’s largest private transport and logistics companies with assets in the port, rail, and integrated logistics business sectors. FESCO’s diversified portfolio of assets allows for “door-to-door” delivery of goods and control of all stages of the intermodal transport chain. The Group owns the Vladivostok Sea Commercial Port, the railway operators Transgarant and Dalreftrans, and fitting platform operator Russkaya Troika.
