Rosatom plans to create a shipyard for composite shipbuilding in Korsakov (Sakhalin Region). This was announced during the Eastern Economic Forum by the CEO of the state corporation Alexei Likhachev.

“We have good groundwork in terms of composites, moreover, I would say that we are absolute leaders here, the first to localize all the technology from oil to the final composite product and … on Sakhalin, in Korsakov, we plan to locate a shipyard associated with composite shipbuilding,” said Alexey Likhachev.

He did not name the specific parameters of the project.
