The new Project CCa 5712LS crab vessel ‘Alexander Sapozhnikov’ built at the Onega Shipyard (OSSZ, Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia), has arrived in St. Petersburg, where preparations for delivery to the customer and a Russian flag-raising ceremony will take place. This was reported by the press service of Russian Crab Group.

The ‘Alexander Sapozhnikov’ is the fourth crab vessel in the CCa5712LS series, ordered by “Russian Crab” Group from Onega Shipyard as part of the first stage of the investment quota program. The vessel is designed for catching and transporting live crab. It is named after Alexander Sapozhnikov, who headed “Russian Crab” Group until 2024.

As previously reported by PortNews, the Onega Shipyard launched this crab vessel on December 13, 2024.

The CCa5712LS crab vessel is designed for operation in the challenging hydrometeorological conditions of the Bering, Okhotsk, and Japan Seas. The main characteristics of the vessel: length – 57.7 m, width – 12.6 m, endurance – 40 days, full speed – 12.6 knots, main engine power – 1620 kW, bow thruster power – 400 kW, crew capacity – 24 people, tank capacity for transporting live crab – 440 cubic meters, capacity for live crab – 110-120 tons.
