According to Union Forsea Corp. data analyzed by ASRF, Russian fish product deliveries to South Korea decreased by 10% — from 117.8 to 106.1 thousand tons in the first five months of 2024. Despite this, Russia remains the largest supplier of fish to the country, accounting for 27% of South Korean imports.

The main product in export is frozen pollock, shipments of which fell by 12% (from 63.1 to 55.6 thousand tons). Herring deliveries also significantly decreased — by 42% (from 10.5 to 6.1 thousand tons). At the same time, pollock caviar exports increased by 6% (from 8.2 to 8.6 thousand tons), according to the ASRF Bulletin for June 2025.

Due to the growth in caviar supplies, the average price per kilogram of Russian fish products increased by 8% (from 2.93 to 3.15 US dollars). However, the total value of exports decreased by 3% due to a decrease in volumes.

The dynamics are affected by global market fluctuations and changes in logistics conditions.
