The FESCO Transport Group (an enterprise within the management circuit of the Rosatom State Corporation) organized the dispatch of the first container train along the Vladivostok – Nizhnekamsk (Republic of Tatarstan) route with imported goods for enterprises of the Kama Economic Zone.

“The FESCO Kama Shuttle train departed from the Vladivostok Maritime Trade Port (VMTP, part of FESCO) on July 11. The estimated time of arrival at the Krugloe Pole railway station will be 10-11 days. Then the train will be sent to the “One Belt, One Road” container terminal, from where the goods will be distributed to enterprises in the region by road,” the press report says.

It is noted that the train to Nizhnekamsk is carrying a wide range of goods from China, South Korea, Thailand, including various polymers. In parallel, FESCO is forming a cargo base for the launch of the next container train from VMTP along this route. The departure is scheduled for the end of July.

“Our train arrives directly to one of the key and most developed industrial centers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The “One Belt, One Road” terminal has a favorable geographical location, due to which the new railway service allows customers from the Kama Economic Zone to significantly reduce the cost of door-to-door delivery,” said Mr. Leonid Shlyakhturov, Executive Director of FESCO Integrated Transport (part of FESCO).

Recall that in March 2025, at the “TransRussia” exhibition, FESCO signed a cooperation agreement with the “One Belt, One Road” logistics company, aimed at implementing joint projects to develop container train shipments using the capacities of the terminal of the same name in Tatarstan.
