The FESCO transport group (an enterprise under the management of the Rosatom state corporation) and one of the largest South Korean logistics and forwarding companies Woojin Global Logistics (WOOJIN) agreed to develop container intermodal transportation from South Korea to Russia and back. This was reported by the FESCO press service.

An agreement was signed at the TransRussia exhibition by Leonid Shlyakhturov, Executive Director of FESCO Integrated Transport (FIT, part of FESCO), and Shin Hyung Suk, General Director of WOOJIN.

The parties plan to join efforts to expand partnerships and increase container shipping volumes between South Korea and Russia using WOOJIN and FESCO logistics services, including the regular sea line between Vladivostok and Busan FESCO Korea Soviet Direct Line, as well as the Group’s railway services operating on domestic routes. Moreover, the parties intend to provide mutual assistance in establishing business contacts.

“South Korea remains one of the key and active directions for our Group in terms of cargo transportation. Cooperation with Woojin Global Logistics will provide FESCO with even more opportunities to organize new transport solutions in order to attract additional cargo flow to the main intermodal routes between our countries,” noted Leonid Shlyakhturov.
