A site for the implementation of an investment project to create a marine logistics center in the Nagaevo Bay is currently being selected in Magadan. The head of “Rosmorrechflot” agency Andrei Tarasenko and Governor Sergei Nosov discussed the issue of reconstructing the port infrastructure in the region at the meeting today.
According to Mr. Tarasenko, the creation of marine logistics center will optimize transport chains and relieve the load on the ports in Primorsky Territory. A working group will be created to study in detail the project for the development of port infrastructure. In addition to “Rosmorrechflot” and the government of the Magadan region, it will include representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, “Rosrybolovstvo”, “Rosrezerv” federal agencies, and the FESCO transport group.
“Rosmorrechflot” sources remind that the project for restoration of the fishing port in the Magadan region has been implemented since 2022, including the inspection and partial commissioning of the berthing facilities and renovation of the port territory.
The water area in Nagaeva Bay is being cleared of sunken ships under the federal project “General Cleaning”, which is planned to be fully completed by the end of 2024. At present, the ‘Galichi’ vessel and MB-407 tugboat have been raised and disposed of. Work is underway to dispose of the Neva and the RSP-171 vessels.
