An agreement on the development of the port will be signed on the sidelines of SPIEF-2024

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) has approved the purchase of the Korsakov Sea Port (Sakhalin Region) by the founder of the Delo Group, Sergei Shishkarev. This was reported by Interfax.
The regional government will sign an agreement with the businessman on the development of the port on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2024). As the head of the region noted, a large container terminal will also be built in the port, and the port itself will become “one of the turning points of the Northern Sea Route” (NSR).
“The new investor intends to put money into creating infrastructure for these projects. At the St. Petersburg forum we are signing an agreement on this with Login Delo LLC,” Valery Limarenko is quoted as saying.
As reported by the PortNews, Login Delo LLC was founded by Sergey Shishkarev in December 2023. In April 2024, it became known about the entrepreneur’s intention to buy out Korsakov Commercial Sea Port JSC. As reported by Sergey Shishkarev, the cargo turnover of the Korsakov port currently amounts to about 2 million tons, and it is planned to double it by 2030, to 4 million tons.
The Korsakov seaport is located on the southern coast of Sakhalin Island in Aniva Bay and is one of the key ports of the Far Eastern basin. The water area of the seaport is 113.26 square km. The number of berths is 30, the length of the berth front is 3.4 thousand linear m. The throughput capacity of cargo terminals is more than 4 million tons per year, passenger terminals – 31.5 thousand people per year.
